Archie D. Schultz, 89, of Martinsburg died Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at the Elms Health Care Center in Ponca, Nebraska. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 1, 2009 with Pastor Terry Wm. Kenitz officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will begin at the church at 5:00 P.M., with the family present at 6:00 P.M. and a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 31, 2009. Online condolences may be sent at www.mohrfuneralhome.com. Archie was born October 27, 1920 in rural Martinsburg, Nebraska, the son of Walter and Grace (Ream) Schultz. He grew up and was raised in the Martinsburg area. He graduated from Allen High School. He married Elaine Schultz at Trinity Lutheran Church in Martinsburg, Nebraska. The couple farmed west of Martinsburg. He entered the Army during World War II, in February of 1944. After being honorably discharged, he continued farming on the farm that has been in the family for over 120 years, and received the Century Pioneer Award.
