John S. Carlson

John S. Carlson, age 82, died Friday, October 24, 2014, at his home in Ambler, PA. Born in Wellsville, NY, he was the son of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (nee Sigurd) Carlson. He served in the US Army from 9-23-1953 to 8-3-1955. He was a graduate of Alfred State College and Hartwick College, both in upstate New York. John was an Accountant for the Unisys Corporation for 41years and retired as the Director of Corporate Property taxes in 1996. Mr. Carlson was an Elder of Bogart Memorial Church in Bogota, NJ. He was a volunteer at Montgomery Hospital for 20 years as a transport driver for cancer patients. He also volunteered at the SAAC center in Ambler and was active with the meals on wheels program. He is the beloved husband of Marilyn M. (nee Markette) Carlson and Devoted father of Mark W. Carlson of Vienna, VA, Scott A. Carlson and his wife Kathleen of Oakland, NJ and Eric J.
