Mrs. Lois Lilienthal, 89, died peacefully on October 29th, 2014 at Unity Point Hospice at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Funeral services for Lois will be held at 3PM Sunday, November 2, 2014 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Clarence, Iowa. Visitation will be held two hours prior to her funeral, from 1-3PM, also at St. John's United Church of Christ. Light refreshments and fellowship will take place just prior to graveside services at Inland Cemetery in Bennett, Iowa.
The daughter of Albert and Alice Hein Levien, she was born in Dixon, Iowa, October 27, 1925. Lois graduated from Davenport Central High School in 1943. She taught school in Scott County. She married Eldon Lilienthal on June 1, 1946. They lived at West Liberty before moving to Tipton in 1960. Lois is survived by her two sons, Leon of Clarence and Lynn (Pat) of Tipton; daughter-in-law, Teresa (wife of deceased son, Loren); 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon; son, Loren; sister, Verda Regenitter; brothers, Eldon and Norman Levien.
Lois was a member of St. John's U.C.C. in Clarence and King's Daughter and Sons of Tipton.
