Frances Lucille Koenigsberg, 84, of Sheffield, Iowa, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 9, 2014. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Faith Baptist Church in Hampton, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 14, 2014, at Faith Baptist Church in Hampton, with Pastor David Koenigsberg officiating. Burial will take place in the Hillside Cemetery in Sheffield, Iowa. The Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home of Hampton in handling the arrangements. Frances Lucille Dunn was born on August 31, 1930, in Clarinda, Iowa, to Francis "Miller" Edmund and Mildred Merl (Shaffer) Dunn. She attended Olive Branch Country School and graduated from Clarinda High School in 1948. Frances continued her education at Clarinda Junior Community College and Drake University. Frances was united in marriage to Melvin Koenigsberg on July 25, 1958, in Clarinda, Iowa. Growing up, she enjoyed 4H. She taught first and second grades at Sheffield Chapin Community School. enjoyed baking, working in her flower gardens, decorating cakes for special occasions and making homemade pies. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Hampton and was on the Iowa State Extension Council. Frances is survived by her husband of 56 years, Melvin; her children, Karen (Loras) Hackfort of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Dale (Kristie) Koenigsberg of Johnston, Iowa; three-grandchildren, Alexa and Austin Hackfort and Jason Koenigsberg; sisters, Phyllis Fulk of Clarinda, Iowa, and Charlene Stokes of Paragould, Arkansas; brothers, George (Emma) Dunn of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Charles Dunn of Waverly, Nebraska, and Jim (Janet) Dunn of Clarinda, Iowa; aunt, Helen Fulk of Des Moines, Iowa; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents and sister, Delores Billman.
