Mary Jane Miller

Mary Jane "Jane" Miller, 85, of Keokuk, died Sunday evening, November 9, 2014 at River Hills Village. Jane was born in Keokuk on July 11, 1929 to Orville and Mary Greaves Radel. She married Frank J. Miller on February 7, 1948 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Keokuk. He preceded her in death on January 27, 1998. Though they moved around a lot while her husband was in the US Coast Guard, Jane live most of her life in Keokuk. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, KAH Auxiliary, Tri-T organization, and was actively involved with Keokuk Catholic Schools. Jane is survived by: her three children, daughter Teri (Clayton) Steenberg of Joshua Tree, CA; sons Mark (Teri) Miller of St. Louis, MO; and Matthew Miller of Tampa Bay, FL; grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy, Nicholas, Matthew, Mitchell and Laney; her brothers, Robert and William Radel; sisters-in-law Nancy (Dick) Maser and Evelyn Radel; nieces and nephews, Kurt Glasscock, Sally Brotherton, Mike Glasscock, Suzy Glasscock, Lonnie Radel, Ronnie Radel, Greg Radel, Linda Barnes, Debbie Radel, Lynn Wilbur, Jeri Maser and Richard Maser. adel, sister Margaret Glasscock, brother-in-law Clyde Glasscock, sisters-in-law Mary Knecht, Myrna Jo Radel and Oma Radel and nephew Jeffery Radel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 PM, Wednesday November 12, 2014 at All Saints Catholic Church with Father Robert Lathrop officiating. Burial will follow at Keokuk National Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 PM Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 1212 Concert Street with family meeting friends from 6-8 PM. Memorials in her honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
