Carole Rose Study 70, of Glenwood passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014 at the Hospice with Heart House in Glenwood. Funeral services will be on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood with Chaplin Mike York officiating. An open visitation will follow the funeral service until 7:00 p.m. Memorials: Hospice with Heart Carole Rose Hastie, daughter and one of twelve children of Ruby Maxine (Needs) and Lowell Wallace Hastie was born on January 5, 1944 in Tabor, IA. She attended school in Tabor until the 10th grade. Throughout her life she lived in the Tabor, Bartlett and Randolph areas. Carole married George Richard Weston and the couple was blessed with two daughters, Carolyn and Tammy. The couple later divorced. Carole later married Ezra Glee Study and the couple was blessed with a son, Jason. The couple later divorced. Carole worked at the State School for many years as supervisor retiring in 1994. Carole enjoyed horseback riding as a kid, reading her bible, and flowers. Most important to her was her family. Carole is survived by daughters, Carolyn (Jim) Zimmerman of Union, NE and Tammy (Rhonda) Weston of Omaha, NE; son, Jason (Michelle) Study of Tabor, IA; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Dallas (Marlene) Benedict of Anchorage, AK, Richard Benedict of Clearwater, FL, and Keith (Ann) Hastie, Joe (Carole "Pudge") Hastie, John (Sherrie) Hastie, all of Glenwood; sisters, Lila (Larry) Green and Janet (Raymond) Wylie, all of Glenwood, and Judy (Alan) Best of Winter Springs, FL; sister-in-law, Lorraine Hastie of Glenwood; other relatives and a host of friends.
