Kenneth F. Schaetzer, of Hollywood, Florida passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the Miami V. A. Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was 68 years old.
Born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on November 3, 1946, the son of Hubert C. and Lavina M (Zimmermann) Schaetzer. Following his graduation from Bethlehem Lutheran School in Sheboygan, Mr. Schaetzer enlisted into the United States Army in 1965. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War with the 11th fifth Infantry Division "Red Diamond". Kenny was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Combat Infantryman Badge. He was honorably discharged in 1971. Kenny was a beloved husband, father and grandfather who will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Joyce D. (Landrum) Schaetzer, six children, Sabrina Schaetzer and Christopher (Morgan) Schaetzer, Ronnie (Lisa) Schaetzer, Kenneth (Rita) Schaetzer and Theresa Kiblin and Loretta Lewis. Also survived by 10 loving grandchildren, Jose, Jayson, Karina, Gianna, Christopher,Jonathan, JessiAnne, Jesse, Michael and Marlana.

rvice with full military honors will be held on Friday, December 5th at 2:30 P.M.at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida. Those attending the committal service, please meet at the cemetery and pull into LANE 1.
