Robert E. Resh

Robert E. Resh, age 73, of the Holiday City West section of Berkeley Township died on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Newark, he grew up in Irvington and lived in West Orange and Marlboro before moving to Holiday City West in 1996. A US Army veteran, Bob was a Tax Accountant for over 35 years for PSE&G, Newark, until his retirement in 1996. He was a member of the PSE&G Retirees Club, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and even had the license plate ""DALLASBOB". He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Alice Resh; his son, Gary Resh and his wife Jackie and their daughter Samantha of Cumming, GA; his daughter, Tracy Aschenbach and her children Jordan and Kiley of Wayne, NJ, and her fiancé, Mike Markoff and his children Jordan and Mason. Cremation was private. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 2-5 pm at the Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River, 08755. Interment with military honors will take place at the Brig Gen WC Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 10:00am.
