Rosemarie Prickett, 80, of New London, died Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Great River Hospice House, West Burlington. Mrs. Prickett was born January 5, 1934 in Bushnell, Illinois, the daughter of Harry Sylvester and Ella Olive David Heaton. She graduated from high school in Macomb, Illinois. On December 26, 1970 she married Ronald George Prickett in Salem. He died June 10, 2008. Mrs. Prickett was a housewife and worked in sales. She was an accomplished pianist and play for two services at her church for 35 years. For many years she volunteered her time to manage the New London City Wide Garage Sale. She also played for the Kitchen Band and at many care centers. Mrs. Prickett is survived by two daughters, Angelicka Prickett of New London and Rebecca (Gerald Jr.) Snyder of Phoenix, AZ; two sons, Bob Jones of New London and Alvin Barnes of Butte, Mt; seven grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother Earl Heaton, and one daughter-in-law Dianna Jones. ciate. Burial will be in Burge Cemetery, New London. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Saturday morning at the chapel with the family greeting friends for one hour prior to the service. A memorial has been established for the Magic Foundation and the New London Christian Church.
