Mavis J. Wolf, 86, Green Bay, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014. She was born on March 29, 1928, a daughter of the late Paul and Leona (Eick) Wolf. Mavis was employed with Green Bay Packaging for 42 years and retired in 1990. She was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church and served lunches for funerals with the ladies group. Mavis always had a smile on her face and loved being with people. She enjoyed her breakfast club with her walking friends even after they couldn't walk anymore. Mavis liked to take pictures, travel, do crafts and take long walks. She had lists written on everything from napkins to used envelopes. Mavis kept assorted records from daily temperatures to expenditures. She never forgot a birthday or a special occasion and tried to make it extraordinary with a gift from a craft project she made with love. Mavis had a remarkable memory and could remember people's names and where she knew them from throughout her entire life. She had a sweet tooth but her favorite meal of the day was breakfast. , Lee (Carol) Wolf; a great-niece, Sara (Andy) Rogers; two nephews, Drew and Dylan Cleereman and a great-great niece, Maya Rogers. Mavis is further survived by many cousins, other relatives and dear friends. Preceded in death by her parents and brother, Raymond. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church, 321 South Madison Street, from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am with Rev. Julie Wrubbel-Lange officiating. Burial will be at Fort Howard Memorial Park. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com. A memorial fund has been established in her name. A special thank you to the staff of Tender Hearts Assisted Living, the doctors and nurses at St. Mary's Hospital ER and ICU and Unity Hospice for the loving care and comfort they gave Mavis and her family.
