those in need, keeping his co-workers in great spirits, and working diligently to best serve the constituents of his party. He was elected to the Democratic Executive Committee in 2012. While Gregory was attending Nova Southeastern earning his law degree, he developed a notable talent for writing. After applying his pen to several genres he claimed young adult historical fiction as his preference. Gregory won numerous awards for his works; most notably when he tookfirstand second place in the Tallahassee Writers Association Competition for two short stories. Gregory won honorable mention in the Readers Digest Writer's Competition in the Personal Essay category with "Tempest Passing." Gregory was one of 19,000 entries in the same category.He also became a member of the "Laurel and Hardy Sons of the Desert" in 2009. Gregory was a kaleidoscope. With every twist and turn of life or circumstance, he fell into place gracefully and became more colorful and vibrant in each role. To know Gregory was to love him. His unique combination of boyish charm and unstoppable wit endeared him to all he met. He may be best remembered for his extraordinary sense of humor and eccentric sense of fun and adventure. To be a part of Gregory's life was a privilege, something that can't be replicated; he was truly one of a kind. Gregory is survived by his loving wife of nine years, Angela Fields, and her four children: Joy Schilt Maynard, Jordan Schilt, Ryan Schilt and Michael Schilt. Sibling survivors include: Cyril and Sharon Fields of Houston,Texas, RJ and Ilene Fields of New Braunfels, Texas, Leighton and Linda Fields of Manvel, Texas, Hilary Fields of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Karen Fields Markham and Edwin Markham of Houston, Texas, Clare Fields Flood and Peter Flood of Santa Monica, California, Kevin Fields of Greensboro, North Carolina, Jennifer Fields Hawkins and George Hawkins of Freeport, Texas, and Donna Fields Roberts of Austin, Texas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews throughout the U.S. Gregory will be deeply missed by hundreds of friends and family members, most notably by his nephew Sean Thadeus Baker of Belton TX, with whom he shares an eternal bond.
