Alberik Keshishian
On Thursday December 4th 2014, Dr. Alberik Keshishian of Plantation, FL. Passed away at Plantation General Hospital, he was 48. Alberik was born in 1966 in Tehran, Iran and migrated with his family to the U.S. at the age of 14. In the early years, he worked with his father and brother to support their family. From early childhood, Alberik demonstrated a love for learning. Once settled in Florida, he continued his education at Broward Community College and Florida Atlantic University to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering as well as a second Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, receiving both degrees with Highest Honors in 1998. Over the next four years, Alberik attended Nova Southeastern University, where he obtained his medical degree, graduating with Honors in the top 5% of his class. With his love for details and perfection, and with his broad knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, Alberik felt a strong call to pursue the branch of medicine that would best utilize his talents. In the few short years back in Florida, Alberik was able to help many patients as well as give back to his first school, now Broward College, by teaching several science courses to students who aspired to become healthcare professionals. Alberik leaves behind his parents Herand and Satenik, brother Henrik, fiancée Miriam, a grandmother, uncles, aunts, cousins, and many professional and personal friends. Visitation for relatives and friends will be on Friday December 12, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Fred Hunter's Lighthouse Point Funeral Home 4650 N. Federal Highway, Lighthouse Point, FL. 33064.
