Carolyn Leona (Taylor) Dussie, of Miami Gardens, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Memorial Hospital West. She was 51 years of age. Born in Nassau, New Providence, Bahamas on November 30, 1963, daughter of Richard and Brenda (King) Taylor, the 5th Child of 12th Children. Carolyn was raised In nassau, Bahamas also graduating from Govermment High. At the age of 20, Carolyn experience the joy of becoming a mother to her first born Rashedah Taylor. In 1986, Carolyn united her life to her husband Alrick Dussie. Their Union produced 3 children; Marion, Alrick Jr., and Glenor Dussie which complete her family unit. Carolyn was kindhearted, Vivacious, loving individual. Her personality was infectious to anyone who came in contact with her. She constantly put the needs of other before her self. Carolyn was the counselor, therapist, cook, nurse, peacemaker and mother to many. Her favorite past time was catching up on her soap operas, cooking for her family, going out for breakfast every chance she got and spending time with her family. short battle with Cancer. Till her last breath Carolyn exposed her selfless love and fighting spirit. Although, she was in the hospital bed, she still worried about everyone and how they were doing. Carolyn left a legacy that we all should strive to embody and her legacy will be remembered forever. Carolyn is Survived by her beloved husband, Alrick W. Dussie, loving mother, Brenda Taylor, devoted children, Rashedah Taylor, Marion Victor, Alrick Dussie,II and Glenor Dussie. She was the adored grandmother of Shamara Taylor, Nia and Mya Victor and Alrick W. Dussie, III. Also survived by her loving sisters and brothers, Leotha Sanders, Patrice Rose, Robert, Hilton, Kendrick and Douglas Taylor. Visitation on Friday, December 26th from 5:00 ~ 9:00 P.M. at Fred Hunters Hollywood Memorial Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood. Funeral Service on Saturday, December 27th at Trinity Church South, 655 NW 125 St, North Miami, Florida 33168. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
