working as a Field Rep. at Sheldon Livestock. He was a member of the Good News Community Church in Okoboji and a member of the Iowa Cattleman's Association. He loved his job at the Sheldon Sale Barn. Don's greatest passion was working with Cattle and working the land. Left to cherish Donald's memory is his wife of 41 years, Charlene; four sons, Lon Lindsey of Milford, Shane Lindsey of Prairie City, Jay Lindsey of Des Moines and Dustin (Jeri) Lindsey of Terril; a daughter, Robin (Dana) Johnson of Bellevue, NE; a step-daughter, Kristi (Mike) Wolthuis of Fostoria; a step-son, Tracy Fanning; ten grandchildren, Lauren, Natalie, Amanda (Lucas) Vangeness, Nicole, Zach, Lindsey (Paul) Hardin, Kylee (Kevin) Ohlrich, Tyler, Jared and Kelsey; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Joan (Clyde) Wishart of Minneapolis, MN; and three nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and a brother Dale. Wednesday December 31, 2014, at the Good News Community Church in Okoboji. Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Schuchert-Lentz Funeral Home in Spirit Lake.
