Silvia V. Aguilar

Silvia V. Aguilar, 44, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Friday, December 26, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City, Iowa. She was born on April 10, 1970, in Charles City, Iowa, to Ricardo and Esperanza "Hope" (Velasquez) Salinas. Silvia graduated from Hampton-Dumont High School. She was married to Jose Aguilar in January 2003, in Hampton, Iowa. Silvia was very active in the Pentecostal church. She enjoyed singing, painting, playing cards, helping Hispanic families, translating for the community and collecting pigs and frogs. Silvia loved her family. She is survived by her husband Jose Aguilar of Estherville, daughter Milagros Aguilar of Mason City, mother Hope Salinas of Hampton, sister Anjelita (Adelfo Sosa) Gonzalez of Hampton, brother Rick (Sara) Salinas of Hampton, sister Elizabeth (Taurino) Flores of Hampton, nieces and nephews Brett and Tonya Branan, Erica, Alex and Roman Gonzalez, Ruben and Isabella Salinas, Emma, Jerry and Noe Flores and really good friend Oscar Carmona of Armstrong. Silvia was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, father Ricardo and brother Ruben. Burial will take place in the Hampton Cemetery.[more]
