Fonda Maxine Slater Ditch MUSCATINE, Iowa--Fonda Maxine Slater Ditch passed away on December 22, 2014, at her home in Missoula, Montana. Memorial Service will be held on January 3, 2015, at First Presbyterian Church in Missoula Mont. Funeral Service will be held at1 p.m. on January 10, 2015, at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Fonda was born on October 21, 1931, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Lewis Clark and Elsie Drewes Slater. She was educated at Muscatine's High School and Community College. Fonda and William Ditch were married on February 21, 1952, in Muscatine. During their 62 years of marriage, Fonda and Bill lived in many states and created long lasting friendships everywhere they lived. Fonda was always active in church activities and study groups. She was a devoted and supportive wife and mother. Fonda is survived by her husband, William Ditch. Fonda is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Norma June King; and her son, Stephen Craig Ditch. [more]
