Brenda Elaine Vaske was born July 9, 1954, in Algona, the second oldest of 11 children of Paul and Ersel (Bierle) Bernhard. She graduated from St. John's Catholic High School in 1972. Brenda married Darryl Vaske on August 2, 1975, at St. John's Catholic Church. She spent her whole life in Bancroft proudly raising her four children there. Brenda was an extremely hard working business woman. She started and operated Bancroft Bouquets for 20 years. In 2005, Brenda and her sister JoAnn purchased the St. John's Convent, remodeled it, and began the Sister's Inn. Brenda was a great wife, mom, grandma, daughter, and sister. She kept her life very uncomplicated. She always entertained her family and friends at her home, being the social head of many meals and gatherings. She was a member of the Bancroft Rotary Club serving as past president and was a member of St. John's Catholic Church taking care of the Church decorations for several decades. Brenda E. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ersel Bernhard; her brother Kenneth Bernhard; her grandparents Maurice and Ella Bernhard and Charles and Alice Bierle and a nephew Jayden Thelen.
