Marvin C. Franklin MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Marvin Charles Franklin, 73, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015, at his home. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Following the interment, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the First Assembly of God Church, Muscatine. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the church in Marvin's name. Marvin was born on October 5, 1941, in Muscatine, the son of Alfred Glen and Jennie Rose Koepping Franklin. On March 18, 1961, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Hansford in Muscatine. Marvin will be deeply missed by his wife, Dorothy Franklin; his children, Marvin Franklin and Sonia McCann, Mark Franklin and wife, Alicia, Dindi Hopkins and husband, Randy, and Mason Franklin, all of Muscatine; 11 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a special nephew, Kurt Franklin; three siblings, Maxine Wilson; Norma Faulkner, and Marilyn McCleary; and four step-sisters.
