John Chesley

John G. Chesley, age 65 Passed away peacefully on January 11, 2015 surrounded by family and his best friend and loving wife, Marge. He was born April 27, 1949 in Baraboo to Dale and Leona (Karstetter) Chesley. John was united in marriage to Marge Rockhill on November 12, 1977. He began his career at Motor Equipment, City of Madison leaving in 1979 to work for Kraemer & Sons in Plain. John purchased Durline Scales in 1985, and served as owner/operator for 17 years. He retired from B-Tek Scales as Regional Sales Manager in 2014. A wonderful story-teller, he enjoyed spending time laughing and talking with friends and family, usually with "Korbel" in hand. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Marge, daughter Noelle (Scott Spiker) Chesley; grandchildren Samuel and Benjamin; brother James Chesley; mother in law Mary Rockhill; sister in laws Nancy (Steve) Miller and Julie Weinrich; nieces Becky, Sarah, Kari and nephew Dustin. He was preceded in death by his parents and father in law Rocky. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Windsor United Church of Christ, 4434 Second Street in Windsor with The Rev. Dr. David McDonald presiding.
