Elizabeth M. "Betty" Carney

Elizabeth M. "Betty" Carney, age 82 of Ambler, died Saturday, January 17, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Alice DeWaele (nee Bendel). She was preceded in death by her brother Henry DeWaele and her sister Alice Henry. Mrs. Carney was an extraordinary homemaker who devoted her life to her husband and her family. Betty was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Ambler and active in their prayer group. She enjoyed spending time with her family and frequent trips to Ocean City NJ. Betty is survived by loving husband of 57 years, Charles E. Carney; and her devoted children, Charles E. Carney, Jr. and his wife Dotsy of Ambler, Mary Elizabeth Krobath of Lansdale, Brian Carney and his wife Robyn of Hatboro, and Natalie C. Ruggiero and her husband Michael of Perkasie. She is also the loving grandmother of twelve. Family and Friends are invited to call on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at St. Anthony Of Padua Church, 259 Forest Ave. Ambler.
