Yvonne M. Murphy

Yvonne M. Murphy, 79, Green Bay, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015. She was born April 12, 1935 in Oconto Falls to the late Edward and Bertha (Gasall) Murphy. Yvonne married Eugene "Gene" Murphy on September 25, 1954 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Oconto Falls. Gene preceded her in death on May 9, 2008. She and Gene enjoyed 54 wonderful years together traveling and dancing. Yvonne loved to get away at her cottage in Pembine. She cherished spending time with her family. Her granddaughters were the light of her life. She enjoyed cooking their favorite meals for them and hearing their stories. She looked forward to her monthly breakfasts with former co-workers from Sears and Shopko. Yvonne was an avid Packer fan and most recently employed at Tundra Lodge. Surviving are her daughter, LeAnn (David) Hohne of Sobieski and her son, Terry (Nancy) Murphy of Howard; two granddaughters, Amanda (Jamie) Wadkins and Megan Hohne (Nick Ewer); a great-granddaughter, Brooklyn and Yvonne's cherished companion, Abby. a sister, Jeanette Wawiorka. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, from 4:00 pm until the prayer service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday, January 22, at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 South Oneida Street, from 10:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am with Rev. Robert Rhyner officiating. Interment will be at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Oconto Falls. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com.
