James DeWayne Beverlin MUSCATINE, Iowa--James DeWayne Beverlin, 73, of Muscatine, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at All-American Care of Muscatine. Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Burial will take place in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of James. The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in caring for James' arrangements and his family. James was born on October 28, 1941, in Muscatine, the son of Frank and Maxine Harmon Beverlin. On June 19, 1964, James was united in marriage to Phyllis Finley in Muscatine. He worked for Bandag for 33 years and was a member of the First Assembly of God. James was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and camping. James will be deeply missed by his wife, Phyllis Beverlin of Muscatine; one son, Joseph Beverlin and wife, Gayle, of Muscatine; one grandchild, Shaylah; and siblings, Shirley Starkweather and husband, Adam, Gary Beverlin, Mike Beverlin and wife, Diane, Dale Beverlin and Frank Beverlin.
