Ethelyn "Pat" Doyle was born Ethelyn Lorraine Clark on a farm near Hinton, Iowa on May 11, 1929 to Ralph Erskine Clark and Eliza Maria (McFarland) Clark. The family moved to a farm near Lawton, Iowa where she attended school and graduated from Lawton High School in 1947. After high school, she moved to Sioux City and worked as a receptionist and clerk at Stock Yards Bank. She married Clarence Dean Eberly "Corky", who became a highway patrolman. Their first son Craig was born in Sioux City. After moving to Council Bluffs, their daughter Janice was born. They transferred to Sidney where they lived until he passed away in 1964. In 1968, she started a new chapter in her life when she met her future husband, Donald and acquired the nickname "Pat." In 1970 they moved to the family farm in rural Imogene. To this union, a son Donald was born in 1971. Pat was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Imogene. She served as Worthy Matron as a member of the Eastern Star and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Sidney. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her first husband, her brothers; Ralph and Leonard Clark and sister; Mary Hodapp. She is survived by her husband Donald, and children; Craig Eberly and wife Ann of Sidney, Iowa, Janice Engle of Red Oak, Iowa and Donnie Doyle and his wife Tara of Imogene, Iowa, nine grandchildren; Eric Miller, Joseph Eberly, Rachel Eberly, Brian Anderson, Paul Eberly, Keren Eberly, Brooke Doyle, Britney Doyle, Blake Doyle and three great grandchildren Alex Flores, Christopher Flores and Isaiah Eberly, sisters-in-law; Shirley Ruckdashel, Delores Doyle, Kathleen Doyle and Genevieve Doyle and many other relatives and friends. Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Catholic Church Building Fund. Burial will be held at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Imogene.
