Elaine D. Hubing

Elaine D. Hubing, 80 formerly of North Wales, died Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Foulkeways At Gwynedd where she has been a resident for the past three years. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Pauline (nee Schlag) Distler. Elaine was a graduate of Lower Moreland High School, Class of 1952. She was a Proprietor of the Country Hub Gift Shop in Ambler that she ran from 1987 until she retired in 2007. Mrs. Hubing was a former Leader in the Girl Scouts and an active member in PTA's and the Upper Dublin Band Parents Association. She was a volunteer with the Women's Auxiliary of Abington Memorial Hospital and a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Maple Glen. Elaine was a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow and an active part of the Rotary Club of Ambler where she was a past member of the Board of Directors and was chairperson of the Sunshine and Scheduling Committee. She is survived by her Beloved Husband of 61 years William J. Hubing, III and is the Devoted Mother of Cheryl H. Shannahan (Thomas) of North Wales, Alan J. Hubing (Carole) of Doylestown, and Glenn W.
