Mr. Stanley Robert Flack, 58, of Ottumwa, died Thursday, February 05, 2015 surrounded by his family at Hospice of Davis and Wapello County in Ottumwa, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Mr. Flack was born April 6, 1956 in Ottumwa, the son of Robert Franklin and Vivian Lorraine Doud Flack. He was a 1975 graduate of Ottumwa High School. He was of the Christian faith. He had worked at Alaniz and Sons and had recently retired after 20 years with the Wal-Mart Distribution Center, both in Mt. Pleasant. He enjoyed riding his bike on bike trails, motorcycles, music, Volkswagons, Star Trek, and taking his dog "Boomer" for rides in his Volkswagon.
Mr. Flack is survived by his mother of Mt. Pleasant; his companion, Eva Cain of Ottumwa; three sisters, Ginger Juhl of New London, Connie Bridger of Swedesburg, and Linda (Mike) Wheaton of Ottumwa; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Visitation for Mr. Flack will begin after 9:00 AM, Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Elliott Chapel, New London and his family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Chapel. There will be no Memorial Service. According to his wishes, his...[more]
