Barbara June Durant

Alexandria- Barbara June Durant, 79, passed away Thursday, February, 26, 2015 at Community Hospital in Anderson. She was born June 10, 1935 in Muncie to Robert and Laverne Oliver. Barbara was a 1953 Muncie Central graduate, and received her Associates Degree from Elkhart University. She married her husband, Jerry Durant, of 58 years on December 2, 1956. She loved her family, friends, and pets. She enjoyed writing poetry, in which she won several awards, playing computer games, and playing string bass. Survivors include: her husband, Jerry Durant; children, Michael Durant (Betty) of Alexandria, Marcia Durant Conover (Charles H.) of Pendleton, Teresa Durham Falcione (Clark M. Sr) of Anderson; Grandsons, Matthew L. Conover of Ft Steward Georgia, Clark M. Falcione Jr of Shelbyville; Granddaughters, Amanda McAllister (Ethan) of Columbia, South Carolina, Jessica Lynn Gerad (Staff Sergeant Corey) of Oahu, Hawaii; great grandchildren, Madysen and Ace Conover of Georgia; special friends Betty West (Alvis) of Florida, Penny Perkins of Muncie, Brenda Lane of Muncie.
