Gloria P. Wingel, 80 of Southampton PA, died Thursday in St. Mary's Medical Center Langhorne, after a brief illness. Born in Philadelphia, PA., she was the daughter of the late Guilio and Fanny (nee Armandi) Poli. She was a kindergarten Teacher at the Holland Elementary School prior to her retirement in the Mid 70's. Mrs. Wingel was an active member of Our lady of Good Counsel Church in Southampton where she was a founding member and chairperson of the Women of Grace, served as a leader of Pre Cana education, the RCIA (Right of Christian Initiation of Adults), was a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. Gloria and Bill were Square Dancers with the Dixie Derby's dancing in the Bucks county area. Gloria was a worldwide traveler and enjoyed to play tennis. She is the beloved wife of Dr. William J. Wingel and the Devoted mother of Dr. Mark W. Wingel, DO and his wife Deborah of Hockessin, DE and Robert W. Wingel and his wife Ruth of Woodstock, GA. Gloria was pre deceased by her Daughter Marie Ann Wingel in 1964.
