Mary "Linda" Strause MUSCATINE, Iowa--Mary "Linda" Strause, 70, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2015, at Premier Estates. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Burial will take place in Island Cemetery. Following the interment a time of food and fellowship will be at Fruitland Community Center. Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established for Unity Point Hospice in Mary's name. Linda was born on December 7, 1944, in Muscatine, the daughter of Raymond E. and Edna Marie Hulse Edwards. On June 26, 1965, Mary was united in marriage to Ralph Strause in Muscatine. She enjoyed bowling, making crafts, boating, snowmobiling and most of all traveling to spend time with family. Mary will be deeply missed by her children, Tammy Paetz and husband, Mel, of Fruitland, Tim Strause of SeDalia, Colorado, and Terry Strause of Coos Bay, Oregon; and a brother, Richard "Tom" Edwards of Muscatine Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ralph, in 2002.
