Donald Musil, of Spirit Lake, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 22, 2015. He was born on October 23, 1934 in Nebraska to John and Helen (Tuma) Musil.
Don proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Korean war. After leaving the service, he went to school to become a mechanic. If it had a motor or some sort of mechanical gearing in it, Don could fix it. Don's free time was spent in his shed tinkering on his antique gas engines. Don was happiest in his shed or spending time with his family and loved ones.
Don is survived by one daughter, Dawn Thomas, and her husband, Dean of Chino Valley, Arizona; two granddaughters, Madison and Chloe; one great-grandson, Gerard; one brother, John of Peoria, Illinois; and three nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Robert and Victor.
A celebration of Don's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Schuchert-Lentz Funeral Home.
