Mary L. Cerwick

Mary L. Cerwick, 81, of Hardy formerly of Fort Dodge, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday April 10, 2015 in the chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. Russ Crouthamel, associate pastor of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Humboldt, officiating. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Mary is survived by her children, Cheryl Smith of Roelyn; Pam (Dick) Williams of Biloxi, MS; Troy (Rhonda) Sorenson of Fort Dodge; Kerry (Lance) Werdell of Fort Dodge; Mark Sorenson of Eagle Grove; step-children, Randy (Windy) Cerwick of Fort Dodge; Ron (Teri) Cerwick of Hardy; Ray (Naima) Cerwick of Perry; Tom (Michelle) Cerwick of Dakota City; Julie (Scott) Shimon of Gilmore City; 33 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brother-in-laws, Kenny (Lee) Cerwick of Fort Dodge; John (Judy) Cerwick of Prior Lake, MN. r, George Good. Mary Louise Good was born May 21, 1933 in Shenandoah and attended schools in that area. On August of 1953, she married Merle Sorenson and made their home in Fort Dodge. The couple later divorced. Mary was united in marriage to James R. Cerwick on July 27, 1994, and they made their home in Fort Dodge. The couple later moved to Hardy. Aside from being a homemaker, Mary was a cook at the Webster County Home for a number of years and was later employed with Goodwill until retirement in 2011. Mary loved to bowl, hunt, fish, and enjoyed the game show channel.
