Age 89, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at home after a multi-year battle with Alzheimer's. He was preceded in death by his wife Marcella Jane Gouin, (nee Brautigan), sister Evelyn Skaug (nee Gouin) and his granddaughter Nicole Peitrokowski (nee Gouin). Mr. Gouin is survived by three children: Ron (Colleen) Gouin, Nancy Susan Gouin, Helen Gouin Wronski, daughter-in-law, JoAnn Gouin (nee Nowicki), and two nephews, Thomas (Gail) Skaug and Richard Skaug. He also leaves behind grandchildren, Amanda (Troy) Kemmel (nee Gouin) and Scott (Jenny) Gouin and great grandchildren Katelyn Gouin, Jacob Gouin, Carson Kemmel, Cade Kemmel, and Andrew, Adam, Marissa and Kyle Piotrowski. He is also survived by his dear lifelong friend Russ Zeibell, the Wilkens family with special mention of Josephine Wilkens, MaryJo Boyette (nee Wilkens), Roberta Ladwig (nee Wilkens), Nathan, Maxwell and Mitchell Fagan and cherished family friends Linda Taber and Doris Lentz. Artus) and resided as an adult in Cudahy, Wisconsin. He was a graduate of the Milwaukee School of Engineering with a degree in electrical engineering, and later employed by A.C. Spark Plug working on the guidance systems for the early space program. He later, ventured into two entrepreneurial endeavors as owner of Don's Mobil service station located on 27th and Layton Avenue in Milwaukee, and later Don's Photography where he was engaged in all levels of professional photography. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 30, 2015, 10:30-11:30 AM at Nativity of the Lord Congregation Catholic Church in Cudahy, Wisconsin with Catholic mass at 11:30 AM. In Lieu of flowers the family asked for donations to the Wounded Warrior Project. The family wishes to express their appreciation and gratitude to the hospice support team during Don's hospice stay at home. Including the nurses and aids of Compassionate Care and the comfort keepers assigned to the family, especially Kimberly and Charlotte.
