Camilla E. Bormann was born December 3, 1925, in Irvington, IA, daughter of Urban (UB) and Marie (Mulligan) Frankl. She grew up in Irvington graduating from St. Cecelia Academy in 1943. Camilla graduated from Mercy School of Nursing 1946. Camilla was married to Donald N. Bormann at St Cecelia Catholic Church, Algona, on July 1, 1947. They made their first home on a farm near St. Benedict, IA, and then moved to farm near LuVerne, IA. In 1978, they moved into LuVerne where she was the school nurse for 18 years. She retired in 1988 and they moved to Algona where she was a member of St. Cecelia's Parish and the St. Benedict's Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Camilla moved to Bemidji, MN and resided at the Elder Care complex for 3 years. She died on Thursday, April 30, 2015, in Bemidji, at the age of 89. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Catherine Jensen of Milford, IA; son, Gerald (Suzy) Bormann of Bemidji, MN; son, Joel (Arla) Bormann of Cumberland, WI; a son, Fr. Paul Bormann of Pocahontas, IA; and a sister-in-law, Barbara (Mark) Bernhard of Algona. ephews. Camilla was very proud of her Irish heritage and loved spending time at their cabin on Shagawa Lake, Ely, MN. She especially enjoyed watching the bears get at their bird feeders! Camilla spent many hours devoted to serving her church in prayer and service wherever she lived. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald on December 17, 2007; infant twin children, Judith Ann and Thomas Michael; a son-in-law, Darryl Jensen; and 3 brothers, Bernard, Donald, and Gerald Frankl.
