George John Lutkitz

George John Lutkitz, Jr; of Hallandale, Florida, formally of Danville, California passed away on Monday, May 4, 2015 at the Veterans Medical Center in Miami, FL following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 67 years of age. He was born in the Bronx, New York on September 13, 1947, the son of George J. Sr. and Helen M. (Chako) Lutkitz. Raised and educated in the Bronx, NY. Shortly after graduating from high school, George was drafted to serve his country in the Vietnam War and joined the United States Air Force. He served his country honorably with the 510th and 531st Tactical Fighter Squadrons, and served as Crew Chief of F100 aircraft at Bien Hoa Air Force Base in Vietnam, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. Following his discharge from the Air Force, George moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where he married and began his long career in optical sales. George earned numerous awards during his 20 years selling for some the most prestigious companies in the eyewear industry.
