James J. Olson

Age 72 of Hugo, passed away on May 7, 2015. Passed away on May 7th. Preceded in death by siblings, Wallace, Rich, Phyllis Starkey, MayLou Ahlstrom, Harold. Survived by wife, Ruth; children, Jeff (Jane), John, Diane (Larry) Miller, Michelle (Jeff) Zerwas, Sharron (Paul) Peltier; grandchildren, Amanda, Emily (Alex), Charlie, Megan, Mike, Aaron, Sam, Brenna, James, Steve; 1 great-grandchild due June, 2015; brothers, Bill (Jean), Gary (Mary); many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Jim grew up in Vadnais Heights and attended White Bear Lake High school, where he was a two time state champion wrestler in 1960 & 1961. He founded Imperial Tool in Hugo in 1972. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and snowmobiling, as well as spending time with his family and friends here and in Florida. His favorite hobby was restoring his 1953 Oldsmobile. A Celebration of Jim's Life will be from 4-8 PM Wednesday May 13th at the Hugo American Legion, 5383 140th St., Hugo. Memorials preferred to the Dick Clymer Cancer Foundation.[more]
