Mike Moore of Treynor, IA passed away on May 7, 2015 at the George C. Grape Community Hospital in Hamburg, IA. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Carson. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Hamburg. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2015 at the funeral home in Carson. Memorials: Directed to the family. Michael Kent Moore, the youngest of six children of Max Victor and Gladys Wynona (Renolds) Moore, was born on April 26, 1958 in Alliance, Nebraska. He graduated in 1976 from high school in Hamburg, Iowa and enlisted in the United States Army. Following his discharge, Mike held various jobs through the years, farming, working in a packing plant, sold insurance, and drove truck for a floral company. In 2006, Mike became disabled with Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy. Mike and Patricia Marie Jones were married on July 10, 1992 in Red Oak, Iowa. Their family grew to include Matthew, Brandy, Tony, and Nathan. Mike was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Macedonia, Iowa. ked to go car shopping. Mike enjoyed being the driver on excursions, especially driving the kids and traveling to Mt. Rushmore, Colorado, and Estes Park. He was a wonderful husband, dad, son, brother, and good friend to all who knew him. Mike passed away at the George C. Grape Community Hospital in Hamburg, Iowa on May 7, 2015, at the age of 57 years and 11 days. He was preceded in death by his father; sister Vicky Powers and husband Barney; and brother Joe Moore. His brother David Moore just passed away the day after Mike. Mike is survived by his wife of 22 years, Patti Moore of Treynor; mother Gladys Moore Walters of Sidney, IA; in-laws Warren and Marlene Jones of Treynor; step children, Brandy Noble of Oakland, IA, Tony Ward and fiancé Tami Leakey of Sidney, and Nathan Ward Jr. and wife Jennifer of Red Oak; six grandchildren, Christina, Stormy, Jaramiah, Jacob, Anthony, Jr "AJ", Emily; brothers, Don Moore and wife Marilyn of Windsor, CO, and Doug "Dale" Moore and wife Sue of Platte City, MO; his brother Joe's wife Susan Moore of Mt. Juliet, TN; cousin Marsha Moore of Riverton, IA; other extended relatives and many friends.
