Dean F. Berwick

Dean was born in Williston, ND, on April 20, 1932. He attended schools in Bainville, Montana. He graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Civil Engineering. After graduation, he proudly served in the Army Corps of Engineers and was stationed at Fort Richardson, Alaska. Dean began his professional career with the Federal Highway Administration working as a Highway Engineer in Helena, Montana; Cheyenne, Wyoming; and Denver, Colorado. After working for the FHWA for 35 years, Dean retired in 1991. He continued his career working with the Wyoming Department of Transportation for four years. Dean was active in community organizations and his church. He was involved as a Boy Scout leader where he participated in outdoor training and Scout camp. As a Lions Club member he worked to provide help to the blind and to prevent blindness. He engaged in Highway Clean Up and other community projects. He was honored with a Life Membership in the American Society of Civil Engineers and a Life Member of Lions Club International. orical agencies. Dean enjoyed all sports and played many rounds of golf. Dean's main goal in life was to provide love, caring and faith to his family. Dean is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sharon; children Bruce (Willie), Lynn (Jeff) and Joel. He cherished his grandchildren Kelly, Katherine, Kevin, Troy and Anna. Dean will be missed by brothers Vernon and Dale, and sisters Lois and Carole. He was preceded in death by his brother Merlin "Bud" and his parents, Monger and Selma Berwick. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on June 27, 2015, at Alexian Village, Chapel of the Holy Spirit, in Milwaukee, WI, with Chaplain Jessi Smedal officiating. The family wishes memorials to be directed to Alexian Village, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, or charity of choice.
