ed gardening, reading, cooking and trying out new recipes, traveling abroad, helping with farming and the cattle business. Her favorite pastimes included dining out with her various circles of friends, attending the Des Moines County and Iowa State Fairs, watching her grandkids in their various activities, and most importantly, being with her family, having fun and laughing with those she loved. Survivors include one daughter, Lori (Terry Reis) Denney; two sons, Douglas Denney of Mediapolis, and Daniel Denney of Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren, Taylor and Brody Reis, Mikala and Joshua Denney, all of Mediapolis; one sister, Debbie Gallomore of Lone Tree; sister-in-law Deb Talley of New London; nieces, nephews, and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband. The Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Elliott Chapel, New London. Pastor Jeff Kodis will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery, rural Mt. Union. Visitation will begin after noon on Tuesday, May 26 at the Chapel with the family greeting friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A memorial has been established for an Elementary Education Vocational Scholarship in her honor and to the Des Moines County Fair.
