Patricia Ann (Chapman) Farwell, daughter of Edd and Oralea (Baggs) Chapman, was born on June 12, 1939 at home in Northboro, Iowa. On May 26, 2015 Patricia passed away at the age of 75 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak, Iowa. She graduated from Northboro High School on May 17, 1957 as Senior Class President. Patricia was active in sports playing basketball, track, and volleyball throughout her school career. She was a member of the Northboro Glee Club. She attended the Northboro Methodist Church and Sunday school. She was part of a large and happy family that loved being together. Patricia married Rex Farwell and to this union, five children were born - Randy, Shawn, Terri, Darren and Sonia. Patricia was an extremely hard worker and dedicated to making a better life for her children. She was employed with Bell Telephone Company from 1958-1963. Patricia worked for Pamida Discount Stores from 1972-1988 and CDS Global in Red Oak from 1991-2009 before retiring. Pat was an avid reader. grandchildren. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Edd and Oralea (Baggs) Chapman; brother, Glen Dale (Bud) Chapman; sister, Evelyn Morelock and three month old sister, Janice Chapman. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Randy (Elaine) Farwell of Coin, Iowa, son, Shawn (Lori) Farwell of Omaha, Nebraska, daughter, Terri Hanger (Randy Askey) of Red Oak, Iowa, son, Darren (Cindy) of Tea, South Dakota and daughter, Sonia Leece of Shenandoah; ten grandchildren and three great grandsons, Cheryl Wilkins (Randy) and their sons Carson, Connor and Camden of Eminence, Missouri, Shayanne Farwell of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Ross Farwell of Coin, Iowa, Stephanie Farwell of Brookings, South Dakota, Airman first class, Ryan Farwell stationed in Lackenheath, England, currently deployed to Qatar, Shalan Farwell of Omaha, Nebraska, Kayla Farwell of Coin, Iowa, Colton Leece of Shenandoah, Iowa, Tiel Farwell of Omaha, Nebraska and Cade Leece of Shenandoah, Iowa; two brothers, Donald Wayne (Don) Chapman (Beverly) of Roseville, California and James (Jim) Chapman (Loretta) of Arvada, Colorado; four sisters, Elaine Ohnmacht (Bob) of Essex, Iowa, Jean Foxworthy of Omaha, Nebraska; Dianna Hall (Dean) of Westboro, Missouri and Donna Yost of Henderson, Nevada; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Memorials in lieu of flowers, may be directed to the Shenandoah or Red Oak Public Libraries in Pat's name. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in Coin, Iowa.
