Nina Marie Allison, 88, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly New London, died Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Pleasant Manor Care Center, Mt. Pleasant. She was born March 23, 1927 in Ellington, Missouri to John W. and Joyce Jackson Allison. She graduate from Edwardsville, Il. High School. She married Kenneth Kendall and they divorced and then later married Miles Garrels and they divorced. She was of the Christian faith, spent many years on the Methodist Women Circles, was a supporter of "Youth For Christ", and many other Christian organizations. She formerly owned and operated the Heritage Mobile Home Court in Mt. Pleasant. She enjoyed remodeling and redecorating, and loved gardening and flowers. She was a founding board member of the ADDS in Burlington. She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn (Mike) Byrum , Kay Kendall and Cynthia (Johnnie) Hillyer all of Mt. Pleasant, one son Wes (Linda) Kendall of Mt. Pleasant, 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Ruby Alexander, brother, Gene Allison and one sister Beryl, who died in infancy. at Elliott Chapel, New London. Pastor Gary Van Nyhuis and Wes Kendall will officiate with private family inurnment being held in Harrison Cemetery, rural Wapello. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials have been established for ADDS in Burlington and the Alzheimer's Foundation.
