Frederick W. Pairent

Frederick W. Pairent, 1932 - 2015 Beloved husband of Constance Ferris Pairent. Father of Denise (Michael) Pairent Diaz. Grandfather of Sofia, Liam, Dylan and Patrick Diaz. Born in Philadelphia, PA to Frederick H. Pairent and Marie Carney Pairent. Survived by sister Patricia and pre-deceased by sister Mary Ann Pairent Smith. Fred was an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Southeast Catholic High School (now Bishop Newman) and St. Joseph University in Philadelphia, PA (BS Chemistry). He was stationed in Germany with the US Army during the Korean War. He received his PhD in biochemistry from Loyola University, Stritch School of Medicine where he taught for several years. He also taught at Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia where he became the Associate Dean of Medical Education. He moved to the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee to become the Dean of the School of Allied Health Professions (now the College of Health Sciences) in 1983 until his retirement in 1998.
