Ana F. Gibbs

Mrs. Ana F. Gibbs, age 73, of Hollywood, Florida passed away in the comfort of her home on Friday, June 19, 2015 with her loving family by her side. Born on July 26, 1941, Ana was the daughter of Francisco and Arme (Donovan) Franklyn. Raised and educated in the Dominican Republic, Ana came to the United States and settled in Brooklyn. She furthered her studies at Hunter College and St. Joseph's College where she attained in Bachelor of Science in Nursing. On December 6, 1969, in Brooklyn Ana was united in marriage to Juan Gibbs, a loving and devoted union of 45 years until her passing. Ana cherished her loved ones and the patients that she attended to with such loving and nurturing care. Ana is survived by her husband Juan; her daughters, Tamara Gibbs and Dionis Gibbs; her sisters, Cristiana Gaton, Teresa Encarnacion and Nurys Baptiste; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-9:00 at the Fred Hunter Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood.
