Jo Yvonn Christofferson Green

Ms. Jo Yvonn Christofferson, 60, of Burlington died at 6:00 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2015 at Danville Care Center. Born September 20, 1954 in Burlington she was the daughter of Otto Edward and Louise (Meyers) Christofferson Sr. Ms. Christofferson received her associate of arts degree from SCC. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing solitaire, dancing and spending time with her grandchildren. She also collected wind chimes. Survivors include one daughter, Veronica Marut of Burlington; two sons, Douglas Trumbo of Burlington and Jerry Trumbo of Missouri; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, John Christofferson of Oquawka, Illinois; and two sisters, Deliah Bloomer and Dixie Christofferson both of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters. The graveside memorial funeral service and inurnment for Ms. Christofferson will be 1 p.m. Friday, July 10th, in Carman Cemetery with Pastor Dave Selmon officiating. A memorial has been established.
