TROY THOMAS MUSCATINE, Iowa - Troy Lynn Thomas, 46, of Muscatine, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinic's, in Iowa City. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2015, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2 until 5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2015, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Destany Schaapveld for a fund to be established for his children. Troy was born on December 19, 1968, in Muscatine, the son of Jake and Frieda Thomas Jacobs. He had been employed at HNI - Oak Laminate for 15 years, and most recently at Allsteel and at the Missipi Brew. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, refinishing furniture, antiques, riding his Harley, driving his Mustang, cooking, and smoking ribs.
