Shirley Ditthardt, 79, of Hollywood, Florida, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the 3rd of July, 2015.
Shirley was born in Johnson City, Tennessee on April 3, 1936, the daughter of Judson O'Dell and Pauline (Fogleman) Miller.
At seven years of age, Shirley accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior. She did this the day after hearing a sermon and being concerned of her eternal destiny. That night in her bedroom, with her parents at her side, she prayed to God, acknowledging her sin and accepting Jesus' sacrifice on the cross as the payment for her sin. She remained active in Christian service and was a faithful attendee of Hollywood Bible Chapel until her home call.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband of over 45 years, Robert David Ditthardt.
She is survived by her two children, Robert David Ditthardt, Jr. (and his wife Lisa) and Kenneth Dale Ditthardt (and his wife Juanita), by three grandchildren, Drew Ditthardt (Jennifer), Lauren Barker (Garrett), and Matthew Ditthardt, a great-grandchild, Garrett Leighton (Rett) Barker Jr., a brother in law, Kenneth E.
