Michael M. Amrich, Sr., aged 90 years old, passed away quietly at his home on July 26, 2015. He was a 29 year resident of Davie, FL, and a transplant from Massachusetts. He was a veteran of World War II where as an Army Sargent he was a prisoner of war and received a Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster . An active parishioner at St. David's Catholic Church, Michael often led the rosary before daily Mass.
He is survived by a large and loving family including his wife of 15 years, Gertrude Amrich; daughter MaryAnn Amrich; son Michael Amrich, Jr.; son Mark Amrich; son Martin Amrich; sister, Sister Paracleta (Catherine) Amrich SSCM, stepdaughter Terry McNamara; stepson Hampton Elliott; stepson Steven Elliott; stepson Michael Elliott; stepdaughter Leslie Elliott; stepson Craig Elliot; their spouses;numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his first wife, Mary Amrich and his daughter, Michele Amrich.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. David's Church, 3900 South University Drive, Davie. [more]
