He was born in Woodsboro, Maryland on March 9, 1936 the son of Eugene and Hattie (Few) Dayhoff. On March 18, 1960 in Thurmont, Maryland he married Carrie E. Baker. Bud was employed at Hamilton Knife for more than twenty years, retiring in 2005. He is survived by his wife, Carrie E. Dayhoff of Fairfield Township; four children, Roy Dayhoff, Bonnie Dayhoff, both of Hamilton, Cathy (Bryce) Petree of Hagerstown, Maryland, and Dennis (Susan) Smith of Thurmont, Maryland; two brothers, Roland (Shirley) Dayhoff of Knoxville, Maryland and John Dayhoff of Rocky Ridge, Maryland; four sisters, Romaine Reifsnider of Keymar, Maryland, Betty Brown of Lothian, Maryland, Barbara Campbell of New Philadelphia, O...[more]
