She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on June 28, 1934, the daughter of Carl E. and Irma C. (Getz) Herold. Irma worked at Mercy Hospital of Hamilton for twenty years retiring in 1996. Survivors include four children, Vicki (Frank) Whitaker, Tim (Anna) Justice, Rich (Lorri) Justice, and Missy Scott, all of Hamilton; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; three brothers, James, Jack, and Thomas Herold; three sisters, Audri Hilsmier, Marjorie Hershner, and Geri Meyers.
