Phyllis J. Unger

UNGER Phyllis J., age 83, passed away on March 26, 2015 after a long illness a Bridgeway Pointe (Drake Hospital) in Cincinnati. She was a longtime resident of Fairfield. Phyllis was born on May 17, 1931 in Hamilton to Edwin "Bud" and Edna (nee Weik) Brinkman. Phyllis was a graduate of Hamilton High School in 1949. She married William Unger at Keesler Air Force Base, MS on May 25, 1951. Phyllis was a lifetime member of Redeemer Church where she served as an Elder, and sang in the choir for over 50 years. She is survived by her husband, Bill; daughter, Judy (William) McMahon of Fairfield Twp.; grandchildren, Brian (Rachel) McMahon of Liberty Twp., and Jennifer (William) Peppard of Cincinnati; and great grandson, Dylan. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents. Special thanks to the staff at Bridgeway Pointe and Vitas Hospice for their excellent care.
