Age 94. Passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015 after a brief stay at Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. She was born on April 24, 1921 in Hancock, MI to Joseph and Sarah Petit. Jeanette grew up in Ripley, MI. She graduated from Houghton High School in Houghton, MI, in 1939. This is where she met her future husband, Weldon Jacobson. Jeanette married Weldon Jacobson on December 16, 1944 in Hancock, MI. They were happily married for 61 years. Jeanette was a member of St. Matthias Catholic Church and the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion H.A. Todd Post 537. Jeanette is survived by her children, Donald (Sharon) Jacobson of Pardeeville, WI, Barbara (LeRoy) Godshall of West Allis, WI and Dennis (the late Lynn Koklas) Jacobson of Burlington, WI. Her beloved grandchildren, Jason (Kerri) Jacobson of Santa Clarita, CA, Leanna (Ian) Bartelmez of West Allis, WI, Lucas (Megan) Godshall of West Allis, WI, Rachel (Albert) Inama of Milwaukee, WI and Dr. Craig (Melissa) Jacobson of Oregon, WI. Jeanette was preceded in death by her loving husband, Weldon Jacobson; her parents Joseph and Sarah Petit; brothers Louis, Robert and Father Rene Petit; sisters, Annabella and Averil and Emma. Visitation Friday, August 14 at ST. MATTHIAS CATHOLIC CHURCH 9306 West Beloit Road, Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 9:30 AM until time of Mass at 10:30 AM. Burial to follow at Highland Memorial Park.
