Stanley A. "Murray" Carter, of Miramar, Florida passed away at his home following a long illness. He was 76 years of age.
He was born in Anguilla, West Indies on February 23, 1939, son of Ashton and Mary Carter. Murray served on the Anguilla police department for 10 years. Following his retirement from Brink's Security Company in St. Thomas, he and his family moved to the states in 2003 settling in Miramar, Florida.
Survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Daphnie E. (Harrigan) Carter, five devoted children, Correy Carter-Hodge and her husband, William Hodge, Rono and Kasia Carter, Melloyd Carter and his wife, Stephanie Carter, Jarris Carter and his wife, Aneika Carter, Chez Carter and his wife Tarin Carter. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, his loving sister, Lauris Hodge, sisters-in-law, Dorcilla Smith, Eudora Hodge, Joan Harrigan, Ruth Smith, Audrey Hodge, Florence Fleming, Joycelin Hughes, Erin and Ottowa, along with two brothers-in-law, Mitchell and Todville Harrigan and several nieces and nephews.
